Who is the Richest Woman in the World? So it has not been until relatively recently that women are now able to challenge for the position of the wealthiest people in the world? Cosmetics Heiress

Ok, so here’s the answer to a question that not many will know. The French billionaire heiress, who in September of 2017 inherited the company L’Oréal cosmetics when her mother Liliane Bettencourt died, is none other than Francoise Bettencourt Meyers. After having inherited the fortune of one of the world’s largest cosmetics companies, Francoise became the richest woman in the world. Her net worth is currently a juicy $58.5 billion.

Not many people will know that Francoise Bettencourt Meyers was an author of bible commentaries and even less known for her works on Jewish and Christian relations. Although her worth makes her the wealthiest woman on the planet, she is currently ranked as the 13th richest person globally, a feat that will surely gain traction for women seeking to take their place at the top of this list. However, Francoise is not far off as she is worth just under half of what Jeff Bezos, the richest man on earth, is worth.
